Digi4Circular Showcased by Data CoLAB at Two Major Innovation Events
Digi4Circular took the spotlight as Data CoLAB showcased it at two leading science and innovation events in Portugal.
Data CoLAB at the 7 Years of CoLABs Celebration
On June 30, Data CoLAB participated in the celebration of seven years of Collaborative Laboratories (CoLABs) in Lisbon. The event, held at the Pavilhão do Conhecimento, brought together 41 CoLABs and key public and private stakeholders. Nuno Malta, Chief Financial Officer, represented Data CoLAB at this national forum organized by the Fórum dos CoLAB (FCoLAB).
The gathering focused on the impact of CoLABs on the economy and society over the past seven years. Moreover, participants discussed strategies to strengthen science and innovation within businesses and regional development. As a result, our partner used this opportunity to reinforce its commitment to data-driven solutions for sustainability and digital transformation.
At the event, Data CoLAB showcased Digi4Circular, a digital platform for sustainable product development using data and physical modeling. Specifically, the project aims to accelerate the circular economy by integrating advanced digital tools into product design processes.
Digi4Circular Featured at Ciência 2025
Just days later, from July 9 to 11, we also took part in Ciência 2025, Portugal’s largest science and technology event. This time, the event was hosted at NOVA SBE in Carcavelos and focused on “Science, Innovation, and Society.” Margarida Cachada (Innovation Director) and Bárbara Patrício (Project Manager) represented the organization at the event.
Throughout the event, they shared Data CoLAB’s collaborative vision for science-driven innovation with over 2,000 participants and 200 speakers. In addition, at their stand, they once again showcased Digi4Circular as a key example of applied research for sustainability.
Consequently, through both events, Data CoLAB demonstrated how Digi4Circular supports Europe’s transition to a more circular and digital economy. Ultimately, these engagements strengthened their role as a leader in collaborative innovation and sustainable development.
